Plant components like silos, mills, filters, collectors, mixers or dryers, in which bulks are processed, conveyed or stored are hazardous areas where fine dust can be found in quantities. Explosion solutions are required when ignition sources cannot be reliably prevented.

With use of the Q-Bic™ safety suppression system, the starting explosion is instantly detected by the redundant related detectors and the prompt blowing of dry powder within the endangered area extinguishes the flame. The explosion is extinguished at the point of ignition and cannot be discharged to the outside atmosphere. Q-Bic™ is especially suitable for applications with toxicants, which must not be released in case of explosion.
