Among the Moretto solutions offered for storage systems, Silcontrol is designed and developed to control the loading of plastic granules into storage silos. The material is identified through the use of a barcode reader and automatically matched to the silo via a database.
The system queries the ERP software to verify the compliance of the scanned material with the relevant purchase order, through a powerful PLC with a colour touch view and an intuitive graphical user interface.
Once the polymer to be loaded has been confirmed, the connection to the destination silo is prepared. The system states the loading phase with a LED lamp and verifies the coupling of the tanker truck with the indicated silo.
Silcontrol does not require operator intervention when filling a batch of material. This reduces the risk of human error and ensures that the process is under control. At the end of the loading process, when the tanker hose is unhooked, the silo duct closes automatically, protecting the silo contents from environmental dust.
