Online calculation program Stuvent
Free online calculator to determine an explosion relief area according the latest version of the EN14491 www.stuvent.eu is a practical tool to calculate the explosion relief area for silos, filters and cyclones in various shapes and sizes. Without any obligation this program can easily and quickly calculate an explosion relief area, also effects of various scenarios can be calculated (eg what are the effects on the explosion relief area with a stronger or weaker construction). The effects of a possible vent duct can be taken into account in the calculation as well as the possible omission of the volume between the filter elements. Also the axial or radial filling of silos is included in the program. The user can easily create a pdf of his or her calculation for personal use. Calculations can be saved so changes and recalculations can be made quickly and easily online. Using the online program www.stuvent.eu is free, after registration automatically a password will be sent and you are ready to start making calculations.

NOVEx II: Filter Isolation Valve
APPLICATION The Novex valve is an explosion-proof flap valve certified as a protection system according to Directive 94/9/EC and according to EN16447: 2014. It is completely autonomous and must be installed on a horizontal piping, at a certain distance from the protected volume. MAIN FEATURES OF THE NOVEX VALVE • Available from DN71 to DN1000. • Automatic locking of the valve in the closed position in case of explosion. • Painted carbon steel (MS) or stainless steel (SS) 304 finish • Pred max 1 or 2 bar, depending on DN and type of dust • Organic or metal dust St3 Kst max 440 bar.m / s

Permanent system for safe truck earthing
Constantly checking the earthing, for constant peace of mind. It is not so difficult to regularly check the earthing and grounding of a fixed installation. In mobile installations, like a truck or a barrel of FIBC, the situation is different: the earthing can easily be forgotten. Sometimes, the earth connection gets neglected or does not function properly (a broken cable, dirt, paint, etc.). Therefore you need to constantly check the earthing and grounding with an earthing system. Permanent earthing control The StuvEx earthing system safely discharges the truck, barrel or FIBC and subsequently permanently monitors the earthing. It's a resistive, capacitive and conductive earthing control.

Flame Catcher - Flameless Explosion Venting
Application In case of an explosion, the Flame Catcher prevents flames from propagating beyond the Flame Catcher. On the inside, the Flame Catcher contains many layers of metallic mesh which forms the flame arrestor element. This flame arrestor will reduce the temperature of the incandescent dust and gas below their ignition temperature. Incandescent dust is retained within the arrestor element and gases from the explosion are vented through the device into the external atmosphere around the Flame Catcher. Flame Catcher™ is typically used to protect dryers, mills, filters, cyclones, etc. Flame Catcher™ features − Complies with EN 16009:2011 − Casing available in carbon or stainless steel or aluminium − Easy to install − Virtually maintenance free − Flame arrestor mesh available in packs for easy replacement − Pred, max 0,5 barg − Pmax 10 bar − Operating temperature range -20 to 70°C

VENTEX® ISOLATION VALVE
Application Ventex explosion isolation valves prevent propagation of dust explosions by blocking the shock wave and flame front. Ventex valves are passive valves meaning they will close without requiring any external energy input. Ventex valves are suitable for low dust load process streams containing up to max. 50 g.m-3 of dust and are typically used to protect dryers, mills, filters, cyclones, etc. Ventex features - Certified for metallic and organic dust, gas or hybrid mixturesc - Stainless steel internal parts - Can be mounted horizontally or vertically (option) - Easy to maintain - ANSI flanges available on request - Housing in coated or stainless steel - Easy to reset following an activation - Wide range of position indicatores available - Certified according ATEX 2014/34/EU en EN 15089 Versions and sizes ATEX certified Ventex valves are available in three versions in sizes DN100, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, DN400, DN500 and DN600. - ESI-S: “single acting” stops explosion comming from one direction - ESI-D: “double acting” stops explosion comming from both directions - ESI-C: “check valve” Maintenance and revision Contact StuvEx for regular maintenance and revision of your Ventex explosion isolation valve. StuvEx is an (by producer) certified Ventex repair center.
