About us
OFFICINE SMAC SPA was founded in 1969 and is strategically located in the heart of the Italian ceramic district, in Fiorano Modenese. Name and brand, a scorpion that grabs the brushes, distinguishes it in the world as a manufacturer of automations, systems and machinery for the ceramic tile, tile and brick industry.
The manufacturing of grinding and selection plants began in the early 1980s, initially for the production of ceramic frits intended for tile decoration and then expanding into various markets such as glass, crystal, salts, graphite, mineral granulates and waste in general. The plants are characterized by their modularity and design flexibility, allowing investments that adapt to the customer’s production needs and are composed of grinding units, rotary, tumbler and flat sieves, conveyor belts, bucket elevators and dryers. The production of the plants produced by OFFICINE SMAC SPA guarantees high added values and high margins thanks to the possibility of reaching very fine particle sizes.

M-CHECK
Automatic device for checking and measuring the residual moisture of powders and granulates transported on the belt. OPERATION DESCRIPTION: M-Check is installed directly on the conveyor belt and performs cycles controls that can be set by the operator. During the control phase, a special patented technology sensor is lowered and immersed in the flow of material in transit, detecting the average residual moisture value. At the end of the control cycle M-Check carries out an automatic cleaning of the sensor. The values are saved in a historical log and can be viewed and exported to .xls format. If the value goes out from set tolerance, an appropriate alarm is signaled.
