WAMGROUP presents the Paddle Wheel VFD valve, a compact and efficient solution for intercepting and feeding bulk materials in powder or granular form, including hygroscopic or poor-flowing products, ensuring a constant, steady flow compared to traditional rotary or screw feeders.
The body is made of high-pressure die-cast aluminium, consisting of two robust half-chambers; the feeding wheel is in stainless steel with nitrile rubber seals, also available in a food-grade version with FDA/EC 1935/2004 certified components. The VFD handles particles up to 1.5 mm, preventing bridging even under pressure. As material enters the valve, it is kept in motion by the rotation of the paddle wheel, which feeds it continuously towards drums, silos or FIBC systems, without requiring high torque and helping to reduce energy consumption.
Key advantages include: compact, lightweight design; easy disassembly and cleaning; low resistance to movement with reduced operating torque; easily replaceable components for quick maintenance and less downtime; simplified installation thanks to compatibility with PN and ANSI flanges.
The VFD valve is suitable for numerous industries: building materials (DryMix, ceramics), food and feed (flours, animal feed), chemical, cosmetics, recycling and environmental treatment, as well as heavy-duty applications such as glassworks, foundries and steel mills. It is available in standard and food-grade versions, with an optional spigot connection for direct installation on existing lines.
