The Gyraton® mixer from amixon® represents a new era in bulk solids processing. It combines storage and precision mixing within a single vessel, achieving batch volumes up to 100 m³ with outstanding homogeneity and energy efficiency.
At the heart of the Gyraton® is a uniquely designed mixing shaft. Its center point is positioned above the vessel, enabling a precessional movement combined with gentle rotation. This superimposed, cycloidal motion ensures that every particle is uniformly blended – efficiently and with minimal energy input.
The cylindrical mixing chamber is compact and space-saving. The process is remarkably gentle: the bulk material experiences minimal heating, while particle integrity and structure are fully preserved.
Trials conducted in the amixon® technical center have confirmed the exceptional performance. 1,500 kg of feed material were mixed with just 15 g of a color-intensive additive (ratio 1 : 100 000) – achieving a coefficient of variation below 5 %. These results demonstrate reproducible and consistent mixing quality even at very large batch sizes.
The Gyraton® processes dry, moist or cohesive bulk materials with bulk densities ranging from 0.01 to 3 kg/dm³. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of industries – from food and feed production to pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metals, and recycling applications.
